Exploring our connections to bread & home.

For most of my adult life, my studies and my profession have made me a bit of a nomad. Life on-the-go has left me feeling fascinated by the connections our memories make through the flavors, textures, and scents associated with places and times of the past. I started baking bread when my husband and I both identified a longing for specialty baked items from our respective homes, which we wanted to share with one another.

While I’ve settled down a bit these days, I can tell my journey with bread baking will be a lifelong quest. I look forward to sharing that with you here!

Bread is life.

I am a home baker who believes, whole heartedly, that good bread creates great memories. I was driven to start baking bread because I missed New Jersey bagels, and my husband missed Swiss artisan breads - each of us living far away from home. Little did I know that baking these favorite breads of ours would open up a whole new world: a lifelong journey to improve my techniques and incorporate different flavors. While I still love to replicate nostalgic favorites, I now particularly enjoy creating new memories with friends and family by introducing them to my favorite new recipes.
